We at KRISHI GURU, a mobile platform by I.C.T. FOR AGRI PRIVATE LIMITED, are committed towards protecting privacy of our customers using policies regarding the collection, usage and disclosure of the information provided by the customer. 

1. Information Collection

Upon registering as aUser, and/or to access services, you will need to provide your mobile number and full name.

KRISHI GURU may hold information related to your utilization of our services by the use of our mobile app which may include following:

A.   User Camera/ Gallery Photo/Media files

This information is used to obtain a locally stored image of the logged in user to be set as Profile Picture and to attachments on certain forms/sections within app.

B.   Network State and Internet Access

The application connects to a dedicated API to complete services provided within. It uses these permissions to check if there is any connection to internet as well as to connect to the internet if not connected.

C.   Precise Location Permission

Certain feature like weather forecast requires access to location service to fetch the 3-day weather parameters in the application.

D.   Read Contacts

The application accesses user’s phone contacts to select a contact so that the phone number of contact could be populated in the KRISHI GURU app using which user can choose to call directly to resource persons like traders, buyers or suppliers by pressing a single button instead of having to manually type phone number.

E.    User SMS

The application is able to send user verification code (OTP) and other service related SMS’s through user’s device. All the receiving SMS out of package is free of cost, however, receiving SMS bundled as package service is subject to the variable cost plan according to the package. 

2. Purpose of the processing of personal data

If you provide us with your personal data, these will be included in our files and processed:

• for management of your membership, the pages and the services offered.
• for responding to your queries in relation to service or assistance.
• for promoting and marketing our products and services which we think could be of interest to you and may benefit you.
• to inform you about updates and products from I.C.T. FOR AGRI PRIVATE LIMITED.

Social media

On our application, buttons are included to promote some sections like share and login ("Facebook") on Facebook. These buttons work through pieces of code that come from Facebook itself. Cookies are placed through this code. We have no influence on that. Read the privacy statement of Facebook (which can change regularly) to read what they do with your (personal) data that they process via these cookies.

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Any changes on our privacy policy will be revised and the updated date will be posted at the bottom of this page.
